Procedure to getting an EPC certificate
Book an appointment by contacting me via phone or email, I will schedule an assessment at a time to suit you.
The assessment typically takes about 1 hour, depending on the size and complexity of the property.
In order to complete the energy assessment, access is required to all rooms in the property, including the roof space (if applicable), any extensions and/or conservatories. All room dimensions will be measured. Access to the gas & electric meters is also required.
The assessment requires photographic evidence of the energy related features of the building; all elevations, roof, windows, insulation, boiler, heating controls, fireplaces, etc. If documentation is being submitted as proof, please have this available at the time of the assessment.
The evidence is collected via an App (RdSAP Go) then transferred to the Elmhurst Database where the final administrative data is added and a report is generated.
At this point you will be invoiced by email where you will be given details to enable you to pay by bank transfer.
Once payment has been received the report will be lodged on the Govt database. No data remains in the App, however the evidence is held by Elmhurst for audit purposes. You will then be emailed a link to your EPC certificate on the Govt website, from which you can email, copy or print.
